So, is Trump like totally shaking up the world order? I mean, duh. But the real question is—are other countries just gonna, you know, move on without America? Honestly, it’s starting to look that way.
For decades, the U.S. was like, the queen bee of global politics—making the rules, leading trade deals, and basically calling the shots. But Trump? He’s got a totally different vibe. Tariffs, threats, and all this America First stuff? I mean, it’s one thing to be a protectionist nationalist, but its another to be an isolationist. Trump’s politics are giving major “burning bridges” energy, and other countries are, like, taking notes.
If the U.S. keeps ghosting its allies and pulling out of agreements, the world isn’t just gonna sit around waiting. Europe? They’re already teaming up to keep trade strong without relying on Washington. China? They’re out here making deals left and right, getting cozier with countries that used to be all about the U.S. Even smaller nations are realizing they might need a plan B in case America, like, fully bails on them.
And let’s talk about Canada for a sec. I mean, did you see what Chrystia Freeland said? She literally called Trump’s moves a “grave threat” to sovereignty and freedom. And when you’ve got allies straight-up saying, “Help, this is bad,” you know it’s serious. Trump’s whole trade war thing is making people rethink their alliances. Like, what even happened to teamwork?
As Jon Stewart, host of the Daily Show, said of Trump’s America, “Let that be a lesson to the rest of the world… we (America) are a terrible friend.”
The thing is, power vacuums don’t stay empty. If America keeps stepping back, someone else is totally gonna step in. And when that happens, the U.S. might wake up one day and realize the party moved to another house.
And let’s be real—this isn’t just about trade or politics. It’s about influence, reputation, and who gets a seat at the cool kids’ table. If America keeps pushing people away, don’t be shocked when the world stops saving it a spot.
So yeah, the world adjusting without America? It’s not just possible—it’s kinda already happening. Like, the rest of the world is basically on a group chat making new plans, and the U.S. is about to find out it’s not invited.
And what’s wild is that Trump seems to think this is all, like, totally fine. He’s out here making moves that scream “solo act,” but international relations are kinda like high school—burn too many bridges, and suddenly no one wants to sit with you at lunch. America’s been the main character for, like, ever, but now? It’s giving side character energy.
At the end of the day, the world isn’t gonna wait around for the U.S. to figure itself out. If America wants to stay relevant, maybe it should, I don’t know, stop picking fights with its friends? Just a thought.
XOXO,
Valley Girl Opinion
