Seriously, you guys, this is wild. So, according to these reports that, like, Ukraine’s totally sharing, there are these videos floating around that show North Korean soldiers in Russia – specifically in, like, occupied areas. I mean, can you believe that?! Ukraine is saying there might be as many as 10,000 North Koreans there. I’m like, what?! That’s insane!

But hold up – Russia is, like, totally denying this. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson, called it an “information canard” (basically, fake news, but in fancy talk). And, okay, maybe there isn’t, like, official confirmation from the international community yet, but it’s creating some major drama. NATO isn’t, like, outright confirming it either, but they’re super worried about the growing bromance between Russia and North Korea. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte was, like, seriously warning people about all the weapons and ammo deals between these two.

And get this: General Charles Flynn from the U.S. Army Indo-Pacific command said North Korea might use Ukraine as, like, a “real battlefield” to try out its weapons and train its soldiers. Yikes! Meanwhile, South Korea’s Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun even said it’s “highly likely” that some North Korean soldiers already died in Ukraine, after a drone strike in early October. Uh, that’s super scary, right?!

Plus, Sean Savett from the White House National Security Council totally threw shade at Russia, saying this, like, North Korea connection is all about Russia being desperate because they’ve been taking such a hit in the war. Like, this whole thing could make the war even messier and, honestly, who needs that?

So, like, we’ll see how this all plays out, but right now, this is a major sitch in the whole Russia-Ukraine drama.

XOXO,
