Okay, so, like, imagine you’re on a flight, just chilling, maybe sipping a Diet Coke, and then BAM—the plane totally lands upside down. Yeah, that’s literally what happened at Toronto Pearson International Airport when a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis had, like, the worst landing ever on Monday.
So, here’s the tea: The plane, which was a Bombardier CRJ-900 (sounds fancy, right?), was supposed to land at 2:13 p.m. But instead of a smooth landing, it, like, flipped over and ended up totally upside down on the runway. Like, what even?!
Emergency crews rushed in so fast, and, ugh, it was not good. Eight people were hurt, and one is in critical condition. Thankfully, though, everyone on board was accounted for. Like, can you even imagine the group chat messages after this?!
Videos are already all over social media showing the plane just sitting there upside down, while firefighters are spraying stuff all over it—probably to make sure nothing, like, bursts into flames. The airport had to hit pause on everything, so yeah, flights got delayed, and people were not happy.
Investigators are, like, trying to figure out how this even happened. Peel Regional Police and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are on it, but they haven’t spilled any details yet. Some people are wondering if it had to do with the snowstorm that, like, dumped a ton of snow on the airport the night before.
Delta is so not thrilled about this, obvi. They put out a statement saying they’re working with investigators and making sure everyone’s okay. Which, like, yeah, that’s kind of important when your plane flips over.
Anyway, stay tuned, because this is totally going to be a major investigation. Like, what even happened?!
