Okay, so like, NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are FINALLY coming home after, like, totally being stranded in space for NINE months. Can you even?! Their little spaceship undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at, like, 1:05 a.m. Eastern Time, and they are totally set to splash down off the coast of Florida around 6 p.m. tonight. Sooo exciting!!

Originally, Butch and Suni were only supposed to be up there for, like, eight days in Boeing’s Starliner capsule. But, um, hello—technical difficulties much?! Their quick little trip turned into a months-long space odyssey because Starliner had issues, so they just, like, had to stay. But, you know, they totally made the best of it, helping out with all these super science-y experiments and, like, keeping the space station in tip-top shape.

And let’s talk about their vibe—SO inspiring. Even though they were basically stuck in orbit, they still found ways to, like, keep things fun. They celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas up there (so cute!), and they even, like, voted in the 2024 U.S. elections from SPACE. That is some next-level dedication, babes.

So, for their big return, they’re catching a ride home in SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule along with NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. Like, ISS slumber party over, time to go home!

Once they land, it’s gonna be, like, all about medical checkups because, duh, their bodies have to readjust to, like, Earth’s gravity. Then they’ll finally get to see their families again (cue all the happy tears!) and spill ALL the space tea in their debriefing sessions.

Honestly, this whole unexpected adventure is, like, major inspo for future space travel—like, NASA is totally gonna use their experience to prep for deep-space missions to Mars and beyond. Butch and Suni are legit space legends now. Like, can we get them a Netflix show already?!

XOXO,
