Okay, so like, yesterday? Six totally fabulous women blasted off into space on a Blue Origin rocket, and honestly? It was giving female empowerment, space glam, and history-making realness all at once. Like, who doesn’t wanna go to space in a designer jumpsuit while singing Katy Perry songs??

So here’s the tea 🍵✨:

👩‍🚀 Lauren Sánchez – Yes, that Lauren, the fierce pilot-slash-news anchor-slash Jeff Bezos’s fiancée. She put this whole crew together because duh, girl power in zero gravity. She literally said it was to “inspire the next generation,” and like, mission accomplished queen.

🎤 Katy Perry – Our pop diva took her firework self all the way to space and sang “What a Wonderful World” while floating?? Like imagine being serenaded by Katy while Earth glows below you. Then she came back down, got on her knees, and kissed the ground. We love a dramatic space goddess.

📺 Gayle King – Yes, Oprah’s bestie and total journalism icon. She went full fearless mom energy and called the trip “as terrifying as childbirth,” which is wild but also SO real. She’s 69 and literally launched herself into orbit?? Goals.

👩🏽‍💻 Aisha Bowe – Former NASA engineer and full-on STEM baddie. She’s now the sixth Black woman to reach space and was like “representation matters” the entire time. We stan a space queen with brains AND beauty.

🌏 Amanda Nguyen – This civil rights warrior and actual Nobel Peace Prize nominee became the first Vietnamese-American woman in space and said it was about breaking “stereotypes about women in STEM.” Like yes girl, tell ’em!!

🎬 Kerianne Flynn – Producer, activist, and total vibe. She’s all about women’s stories and being seen, and what’s more iconic than floating above Earth in a sleek Monse-designed space suit??

Oh and speaking of outfits? They ALL wore these like, tailored, futuristic, and honestly kinda hot space suits made by Monse. Because if you’re going to the edge of space, you might as well serve looks. 😍✨

Now, about the price tag 💸: Blue Origin hasn’t officially spilled the cost per seat, but estimates suggest it’s around $475,000 per person. However, for this mission, it’s believed that Jeff Bezos himself covered the expenses, making it a literal gift from the stars.

Even though some people were like “umm is this just space tourism??” the girls clapped back like, “nah babe, this is about inclusion and inspiring other women to literally reach for the stars.”

So yeah. April 14, 2025? Mark it down. It was ✨history in heels✨ and the space ceiling just got totally shattered 💅🌌.

Can we get like… a reality show next?? 👀💖

XOXO
